Those who wash, those who mourn, those who are honored to carry the shell of the person who was, wear no color but only the black of the dark and the white of the light. Dark below, to show the shell, and white above, for the soul now departed.

Dost thou think that thou art only for thine own self?
Dost thou believe that thou art alone?
Thou art also for others, as they art for thee.

Law

Laws are for the obedience of men whose guidance from G_d fails. The word of conscience and good will is given but not heeded. The law must rule man when man cannot. Obedience to law is obedience to G_d.

A man is not a man unto himself.
You are not, if not for others.

To do for others

To do for others that you may feel righteous is to do only for oneself.
To do for others is G_d's will. Do not expect recompense. It is enough to do.

One Day

Let us set aside one day, at harvest, to reflect on the ills we have visited on others and the ills we have done to ourselves. Be they hurts of any kind, we have done to others what we would not have done to ourselves. We have thought ill of others, and of ourselves. We have done evils, inward and outward.
On this special day all this and more must be the subject of reflection. And action.
Evils must not be repeated.
